This role leads a 24-bed Acute Rehabilitation unit that serves as a critical bridge between acute care and discharge. Opportunity:

• Provide strategic and operational leadership across a specialized Acute Rehabilitation unit
• Oversee a defined span of control within a 24-bed, high-impact inpatient rehab environment
• Drive performance across key metrics, including length of stay, discharge efficiency, patient outcomes, and patient experience
• Lead workforce strategy, including recruitment, retention, succession planning, and leadership development
• Build and sustain a high-accountability, high-performance culture aligned with organizational goals
• Partner with physicians, therapy services (PT/OT/Speech), case management, and interdisciplinary teams to advance patient progression
• Champion process improvement, care model innovation, and operational efficiency across the unit
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards while advancing best practices
• Manage departmental budgets, labor productivity, and financial performance with executive-level oversight
• Serve as a key contributor to hospital-wide throughput and discharge planning initiatives
• Mentor emerging leaders and support the development of future nursing leadership talent
• Promote a culture grounded in evidence-based practice, quality, safety, and continuous improvement

Qualifications:

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s degree (MSN or related field) strongly preferred
• Minimum of 5+ years of progressive nursing leadership experience required
• Demonstrated success managing teams within a hospital-based inpatient setting
• Strong background in Acute Rehabilitation, Med-Surg with rehab exposure, or transitional/post-acute care delivery
• Experience with patient flow, discharge planning, and interdisciplinary care coordination
• Experience with budget management, staffing models, and operational performance metrics
• Proven ability to influence at the executive and interdisciplinary leadership level
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required
• Specialty certification or leadership certification preferred
• Exceptional leadership presence, communication skills, and strategic thinking capabilities
