Lead a highly specialized Intensive Care Unit within a respected acute care hospital in New England. This role oversees a multi-focused ICU environment supporting both medical-surgical and cardiac patient populations. The ICU plays a vital role within the hospital’s care continuum, managing critically ill patients requiring advanced monitoring and intervention. The unit operates within a collaborative, interdisciplinary model supported by hospitalists, specialists, and 24/7 ancillary services.

Opportunity:
• Direct daily operations, including staffing, scheduling, patient flow, and acuity management in a critical care setting
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of ICU nurses in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment
• Promote a culture centered on patient safety, clinical excellence, and evidence-based practice
• Ensure staff competency in critical care skills, advanced monitoring, and emergency response protocols
• Drive performance across key metrics, including quality outcomes, infection prevention, and patient satisfaction
• Lead quality improvement and patient safety initiatives aligned with organizational priorities
• Collaborate closely with intensivists, cardiology, hospitalists, respiratory therapy, and interdisciplinary teams
• Participate in leadership rounding, safety reviews, and environment of care initiatives
• Support staffing optimization and resource management based on census and patient acuity
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory, accreditation, and clinical standards
• Contribute to a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and clinical excellence
Qualifications:
• Active Registered Nurse (RN)
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred; ASN considered with strong ICU experience
• Master’s degree (MSN) preferred
• Minimum of 3–5 years of critical care nursing experience required
• Prior leadership or charge/clinical supervisory experience strongly preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required
• Critical care certification (CCRN) or equivalent strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of ICU patient populations, including cardiac, respiratory, and complex medical conditions
• Proven ability to lead effectively in high-pressure, high-acuity clinical environments
• Excellent communication, clinical judgment, and team leadership skills
