The System Director of Finance will function as a trusted strategic partner and critical member of the executive leadership bench, advancing financial health, driving operational effectiveness, and reinforcing long term sustainability while supporting continuity and future-ready financial leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and oversight of system-wide financial operations, including budgeting, accounting, reporting, and internal controls
• Lead Reimbursement, Decision Support, and Financial Management functions with a focus on excellence, alignment, and leadership development
• Standardize financial processes and workflows to enhance efficiency, scalability, and consistency across facilities
• Evaluate and strengthen revenue cycle performance by identifying improvement opportunities and implementing targeted action plans
• Partner with executive and operational leadership to align revenue optimization initiatives with enterprise financial objectives
• Develop and oversee sophisticated revenue forecasting models, delivering accurate projections and actionable insights
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, FASB, and GASB requirements while maintaining a robust internal control framework
• Proactively mitigate regulatory and financial risk through audits, compliance oversight, and profitability analysis
• Direct financial analysis, budgeting, and month-end and year-end close processes for key departments
• Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and professional growth across finance teams

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline required
• Master’s degree (MBA, MHA, or equivalent) strongly preferred
• CPA certification preferred
• Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in healthcare finance
• 3–5+ years in formal leadership roles, with demonstrated success developing high-performing teams
• Deep expertise in GAAP, healthcare reimbursement methodologies, and revenue cycle operations
• Comprehensive understanding of revenue cycle management, including workflows, forecasting, projections, revenue streams, and cost structures across hospital and physician practice environments
• Proven ability to drive financial performance, innovation, and revenue optimization
• Experience with healthcare financial systems, revenue cycle platforms, and analytics tools
• Exceptional communication and executive presence, with the ability to influence across all levels of the organization
• Strong strategic mindset with hands-on execution capability
