Opportunity:
This high-profile position reports directly to a supportive and engaged CFO and involves collaboration with senior leaders across the organization. The AVP of Finance will play a key leadership role in shaping the financial performance and long-term fiscal health of the system.
• Oversee financial strategy, budgeting, reporting, internal controls, and accounting for the healthcare system.
• Lead Reimbursement, Decision Support, and Financial Management departments, providing strategic guidance and oversight
• Develop standardized financial processes and workflows across all facilities to enhance operational efficiency
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, FASB, and GASB guidelines while maintaining strong internal controls
• Perform financial analysis, budgeting, month-end, and year-end close for key financial departments
• Partner with senior and executive leadership to drive financial optimization and support strategic initiatives
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
• CPA certification preferred but not required
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant healthcare financial management experience
• 3-5 years of leadership experience in healthcare finance preferred
• Strong expertise in GAAP, healthcare reimbursement, and revenue cycle management
• Proven track record of financial innovation, problem-solving, and driving revenue cycle effectiveness
• Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills
• Ability to lead, mentor, and coordinate an effective financial team
• Awareness of industry changes and their impact on financial operations
