This opportunity is ideal for an experienced acute care nursing leader seeking to guide Emergency Services within a for-profit healthcare organization. Opportunity:
• 199-bed acute care teaching hospital within a for-profit health system
• Provides administrative and clinical leadership for Emergency Services
• Oversees Emergency Department operations, staffing, and patient flow
• Leads initiatives focused on quality improvement, patient safety, and throughput
• Oversees recruitment, retention, engagement, and professional development of nursing staff
• Develops, implements, and enforces nursing policies and procedures
• Ensures compliance with Joint Commission, CMS, and state regulatory requirements
• Maintains accreditation readiness and supports survey preparation activities
• Manages departmental budget, productivity, and resource utilization
• Collaborates closely with physicians, providers, and interdisciplinary leaders
• Promotes a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement
Qualifications:
• BSN required; active (or eligible) RN license required
• Advanced degree (MSN, Healthcare Administration, MBA) strongly preferred
• Minimum of 7 years of healthcare experience with at least 3 years in nursing leadership
• Acute care Emergency Services leadership experience required
• For-profit hospital experience strongly preferred
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS required; TNCC required or obtained within a defined timeframe
• Demonstrated ability to build and lead teams focused on quality and throughput initiatives
• Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
