Galileo Search is proud to partner with a respected, mission-driven hospital to identify a Director of Nursing for Cardiovascular Services and Cath Lab, a key leadership role reporting directly to the Chief Nursing Officer. Opportunity:
• 300+bed TJC-accredited acute care hospital
• Provides strategic and operational leadership for all aspects of Cardiovascular Services, including Cath Lab operations
• Oversees the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory, performing cardiology and vascular procedures, supported by 24/7 STEMI coverage
• Leads multidisciplinary teams specializing in catheter-based interventions and comprehensive vascular care
• Develops and implements innovative programs to improve patient outcomes and service efficiency
• Partners with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and hospital leadership to enhance care coordination and patient experience
• Ensures compliance with accreditation standards and drives continuous improvement toward high reliability
• Manages financial performance, staff recruitment, retention, and engagement
• Fosters a culture of teamwork, accountability, and professional growth
Qualifications:
• BSN required; RN license required
• 5–7 years of progressive leadership experience in Cardiovascular Services
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and collaborate effectively with physicians and anesthesia providers
• BLS and ACLS required
• Strong knowledge of cardiovascular nursing standards and regulatory compliance
• Excellent communication, leadership, and strategic planning skills
