Remote, EDT

• 3+ month assignment
• Reports to the Director of Patient Safety
• Provides consultation and support to achieve the organization's patient safety goals
• Serves as an expert consultant in facilitating the adoption of high-reliability and other patient safety practices within the hospital
• Reviews safety events, classifying them using HPI methodology, and conducts thorough interviews and investigations into serious safety incidents
• Leads system-wide safety culture initiatives
• Offers clinical process input and analysis on safety events and executes root cause analysis with improvement planning and implementation
• Collaborates closely with leadership, physicians, and team members to ensure a systematic and detail-oriented approach to event analysis
• Contributes to the development and execution of action plans to prevent event recurrence

• RN required
• CPPS (Certified Professional in Patient Safety) preferred
• RLDatix event software and EPIC EMR experience required
• 5+ years of patient safety experience in an acute care setting required
• Familiarity using the HPI methodology required
• High-Reliability experience preferred
• Previous experience working remotely is highly preferred
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of hospital staff
• Available to work a full-time schedule, M - F, or as needed
