Location:
Opportunity:
• Oversee billing, accounts receivable, payment posting, denial management, appeals, and follow-up processes
• Partner with organizational leadership to improve revenue cycle performance, reimbursement outcomes, and operational efficiency
• Provide leadership and direction to internal business office team members while supporting accountability, productivity, and service standards
• Manage vendor relationships and ensure outsourced coding, billing, and follow-up services meet performance expectations
• Review complex claims, escalated account issues, denial trends, and operational concerns to support timely resolution
• Develop strategies to improve cash flow, reduce denials, decrease A/R days, and strengthen payer compliance
• Monitor revenue cycle metrics, identify trends, and recommend process improvements to support financial goals
• Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to ensure consistent communication and timely issue resolution
• Support accurate reimbursement practices through strong knowledge of billing, claims review, insurance processes, and denial prevention
• Promote a customer-focused environment that supports providers, staff, patients, and organizational stakeholders
• Maintain compliance with applicable policies, payer requirements, and healthcare revenue cycle standards
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in medical collections, physician or hospital operations, accounts receivable follow-up, denials, and appeals
• Minimum of 3 years of management or supervisory experience
• Professional billing experience preferred
• CPAR certification required or can be obtained
• Strong working knowledge of revenue cycle operations, claims review, denial management, and reimbursement processes
• Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance terminology, and payer requirements
• Excellent computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office and related business office software
• Strong leadership, organizational, interpersonal, and customer service skills
• Ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple priorities, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills
• Ability to evaluate complex situations, identify solutions, and collaborate effectively with internal and external teams
