RECENTLY FILLED - Interim Senior Director - Quality Management | Multi-site Healthcare System | Texas
Location:
Opportunity:
• Establishes a strategic vision and provides guidance for operational Performance Improvement (PI) initiatives across the multi-site healthcare system
• Supports rebuilding of Quality Management and Clinical Risk Management programs to mitigate sentinel events
• Identifies system-wide quality indicators, analyzes benchmark quality data, and continually monitors clinical performance
• Develops and executes plans to standardize clinical processes among hospitals using evidence-based care standards
• Oversees the measurement techniques, audits and data reports that evaluate the attainment of the quality objectives of the hospital system
• Leads processes for changing clinical processes, leveraging expertise within the hospital inpatient setting
• Designs and implements the Quality Program, integrating national standards and benchmarks across the continuum of care
• Assesses clinical and administrative processes to establish and implement best practices
• Fosters effective relationships with quality leaders, medical staff, associates, senior leaders, and community partners
• Mentors and develops quality leaders, emphasizing standardized best practices and High-Reliability Organization principles
• Promotes continuous learning by providing education and training in healthcare quality improvement processes and methodologies
• Facilitates the development of leaders and staff in quality management processes, outcomes monitoring, and interpretation of quality indicators
• Educates the hospital and medical staff on matters related to quality
• Acts as a resource for accreditation and regulatory bodies, disseminating relevant directives or recommendations throughout the system
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Health Care Administration, or a relevant clinical discipline, Master’s degree highly preferred
• 5 + years of current strategic leadership experience in an acute care quality position within an acute care healthcare organization
• Multi-site hospital experience a plus
• CPHQ certification is highly preferred
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present information accurately/effectively to diverse audiences (clinical and non-clinical)
• Proficiency in utilizing Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, EMR systems/databases, and navigating the Internet
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of hospital staff through C-Suite
• Available to travel to the client site and work a full-time schedule, M - F, or as needed
• Occasional flexibility to travel to nearby facilities as needed
