Opportunity:

• Reports to a supportive and mentoring AVP of Quality
• Hospital system with a strong commitment to quality, safety, regulatory readiness, and continuous compliance
• Lead planning, coordination, and implementation of TJC accreditation and regulatory compliance activities across the organization
• Oversee survey readiness efforts for accrediting and regulatory agencies, including TJC and CMS
• Develop and support education related to accreditation standards, regulatory requirements, survey preparation, and ongoing compliance
• Interpret regulatory standards and communicate updates to leaders, clinical teams, and appropriate departments
• Partner with staff across multiple areas to monitor regulatory changes, evaluate impact, and support the timely implementation of required updates
• Assess organizational readiness and recommend action plans, education, and process changes to maintain compliance
• Coordinate regulatory site visits, survey preparation activities, follow-up reports, corrective actions, and related documentation
• Support completion and submission of required accreditation materials, applications, assessments, action plans, and regulatory responses
• Maintain organized historical files, compliance records, survey documentation, and regulatory tracking tools
• Train new leaders and management staff on their responsibilities related to accreditation, survey readiness, and compliance expectations
• Report to leadership on regulatory updates, upcoming surveys, compliance monitoring, action plan progress, and results from external reviews
• Collaborate with quality, patient safety, nursing, medical staff, operations, and department leaders to support a culture of continuous readiness

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree
• Active RN license
• Minimum of 5 years of clinical acute care hospital experience required
• Experience in medical-surgical nursing, quality, patient safety, regulatory compliance, or accreditation strongly preferred
• Regulatory survey coordination experience strongly preferred
• Strong knowledge of accreditation standards, CMS requirements, regulatory agency processes, and survey readiness practices
• Experience developing education, presenting to leadership groups, facilitating teams, and supporting cross-functional projects
• Knowledge of process improvement methodologies and the ability to support practical compliance solutions
• Advanced computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, databases, spreadsheets, reporting tools, graphs, and control charts
• Strong interpersonal, written, verbal, teaching, presentation, analytical, and team-building skills
• Ability to remain self-directed, highly organized, adaptable, and effective in a changing regulatory environment
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound independent decisions
• Ability to travel between organizational locations and attend outside educational programs as needed
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of hospital staff
