This exciting interim consulting opportunity offers the chance to make a lasting impact within a growing ambulatory healthcare organization. With a strong focus on Joint Commission readiness and sustained compliance, the role is designed for a seasoned infection prevention professional who thrives on program development, team mentorship, and elevating organizational standards.

• 3+ months assignment
• Serve as the primary infection control subject matter resource for ambulatory care services
• Conduct a comprehensive review of existing program plans, risk assessments, and committee structures to identify gaps and opportunities
• Design and implement strategic recommendations that enhance compliance, documentation, and program effectiveness
• Lead infection control initiatives that drive survey readiness and long-term accreditation success
• Mentor and train infection control staff, instilling structured evaluation and continuous improvement methodologies
• Develop infection control-specific competencies and support competency assessment processes to ensure sustainable growth
• Collaborate closely with clinical and operational leaders to embed infection control practices that align with accreditation expectations and elevate patient safety

• Current CIC certification required
• Minimum of 5 years of experience managing or supporting infection control programs
• Deep knowledge of regulatory and clinical practice guidelines, including Joint Commission survey readiness
• Proven success working with accreditation in ambulatory or outpatient settings
• Demonstrated ability to educate, coach, and inspire teams through accreditation-related requirements
• Strong communication and teaching skills, with a passion for guiding and developing staff
• Availability to travel to the client site and commit to a full-time schedule, Monday–Friday (or as needed)
