Opportunity:

• 300+ bed TJC Accredited Hospital
• Reports to a highly engaged SVP and Chief Operating Officer
• Lead a team of 2 FTE CIC Infection Prevention team members
• Collaborate with executive leadership, medical staff, nursing, and ancillary teams to drive optimal performance in reducing hospital-acquired infections
• Ensure regulatory compliance with infection prevention, surveillance, and reporting requirements
• Provide leadership for the Infection Prevention Department and collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve optimal performance in infection prevention initiatives
• Implement strategies that align with organizational goals to improve patient safety and quality outcomes
• Continually evaluates all patient care and infection prevention procedures and activities within the facility while making recommendations for and taking all necessary steps toward continuous patient care improvements
• Educate employees and providers about infection control and contribute to staff training programs related to employee orientations and annual competencies

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree required
• RN, MT(ASCP), or MPH
• Certified Infection Control (CIC) required
• Minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in Infection Prevention Management.
• Strong knowledge of analytical, epidemiological, and statistical methodologies to identify improvement opportunities and measure performance
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive infection prevention outcomes in both inpatient and outpatient settings
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of hospital staff
