Opportunity:

• Reports to the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO)
• Accountable for the management/operation of the departments and the development and maintenance of interdisciplinary relationships between all levels of departmental staff
• Fosters a collaborative environment between staff members and an ability to achieve operational goals through influence and expert change management skills
• Develops policies and procedures, ensure quality control, including managing the departmental operations and capital equipment budgets, and oversee the continuous maintenance of staffing and the development of personnel and service line growth in the department
• Responsible for nursing quality programs that are outcome-oriented
• Manages continuous Quality Improvement activities, Risk, prevention of infection, and staff adherence to evidence-based nursing practices
• Implements innovative strategies for enhancing patient satisfaction within the department
• Collaborates with community organizations to support outreach programs related to women's and children's health
• Participation in relevant professional organizations and ongoing education to stay abreast of advancements in women's and children's healthcare
• Delivers quality and safe level of patient care

Qualifications:

• BSN required, Master’s degree preferred
• Registered Nurse (RN) required
• Minimum of 5 years of acute care experience in a hospital setting, including progressive management responsibilities
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP required
• Demonstrated leadership in implementing evidence-based practices to improve patient outcomes
• Capable of managing multiple and simultaneous responsibilities and prioritizing the scheduling of work
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of hospital staff
