Georgia

• Reports to the Vice President of Supply Chain
• Lead the development and implementation of strategic sourcing, contracting, and procurement initiatives to drive cost-effectiveness and operational efficiency
• Manage daily procurement operations, including oversight of buyers/expediters, order placement, expediting, and backorder follow-up
• Develop system-level contract initiatives and forecast opportunities to generate organizational savings
• Serve as the primary liaison between procurement and user departments, ensuring timely order fulfillment and resolving vendor discrepancies
• Collaborate with Accounts Payable to address pricing, quantity, and other discrepancies affecting timely invoice processing
• Oversee and optimize relationships with Group Purchasing Organizations (GPOs) and other purchasing agreements
• Assist departments in administering supply/equipment contract portfolios, ensuring contract compliance, and generating utilization reports
• Represent Materials Management in meetings and maintain communication with hospital administration and other departments

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
• Certified Materials & Resource Professional (CMRP) a plus
• Minimum 4 years of management experience in a centralized purchasing environment for a multi-site hospital and clinic system required
• Proficiency in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems
• Proven experience in vendor management, contract management, and GPO management
• Strong knowledge of procurement principles and practices and formal negotiation training
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of hospital staff
