Engagement Overview

Galileo Search is seeking an experienced Interim CVO Director to provide operational leadership during a critical period of continued system integration and growth for our long-term client, a large academic health system with a credentialing footprint of more than 2,000 providers.

This need comes at a critical time, as the health system continues to centralize credentialing, privileging, and provider enrollment functions across the growing enterprise.

• Medical Staff Office oversight
• Multi-campus standardization efforts

• Reappointment process optimization
• Standardization across multiple campuses and facilities

The focus is operational alignment, consistency, and infrastructure development.

Key Challenges & Priorities

The ideal interim will be comfortable stepping in and bringing structure, consistency, and accountability to enterprise-wide CVO processes.

Primary priorities include:

Complete CVO Centralization

• Continue development of the centralized credentialing model
• Align all campuses under consistent operating standards
• Establish clear governance and reporting structures
• Eliminate remaining operational gaps and "loose ends"
• Develop a unified reappointment application and process
• Ensure common standards for credentialing and privileging activities
• Identify opportunities for efficiency and accountability
• Prepare the organization for continued growth and integration
• Strong Symplr experience is a PLUS to support newly transitioned entities and drive consistency in platform utilization

• Large health system or academic medical center CVO leadership experience
• Multi-hospital credentialing and privileging oversight
• Strong delegated credentialing and payer audit expertise
• Symplr optimization experience
• Medical Staff Office leadership experience
• Proven success leading centralization and integration initiatives
• Ability to quickly assess operations, build alignment, and execute change
