Location:
Opportunity:
• Conduct infection surveillance activities and assist with identifying trends involving healthcare-associated infections and communicable diseases
• Collect, analyze, interpret, and communicate infection prevention data to clinical and operational leaders
• Investigate potential exposures, infection clusters, and outbreaks while helping implement appropriate mitigation strategies
• Provide infection prevention guidance related to hand hygiene, personal protective equipment, environmental cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization practices
• Conduct infection prevention and environment of care rounds throughout assigned ambulatory locations
• Provide education, coaching, and consultation to clinical teams, providers, leaders, patients, caregivers, and other stakeholders
• Participate in regulatory and accreditation readiness activities and support ongoing compliance with applicable infection prevention requirements
• Assist with infection prevention risk assessments associated with construction, renovation, and maintenance activities
• Partner with Quality, Patient Safety, Employee Health, and other interdisciplinary teams on infection-related performance improvement initiatives
• Collaborate with acute care infection prevention teams to promote continuity across transitions of care
• Participate in committees, organizational initiatives, and multidisciplinary projects requiring infection prevention expertise
• Work with data and technology teams to improve infection surveillance reporting and support meaningful analysis of infection prevention trends
• Hybrid position requiring travel throughout assigned ambulatory locations
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Microbiology, Public Health, Medical Laboratory Science, Healthcare Administration, or a related discipline required
• Certification in Infection Control (CIC) preferred
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of infection prevention experience within an ambulatory or acute care healthcare setting
• Minimum 2 years of clinical healthcare experience
• Experience conducting infection surveillance, exposure investigations, and infection prevention risk assessments
• Knowledge of healthcare-associated infection prevention, epidemiology, communicable disease reporting, and regulatory requirements
• Experience evaluating high-level disinfection, sterilization, and environmental infection prevention practices
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, collaboration, and conflict resolution skills
• Ability to interpret infection prevention data and translate findings into practical improvement strategies
• Experience with infection prevention software, electronic medical records, surveillance systems, and data reporting tools preferred
• Ability to travel approximately 70 percent throughout the assigned region
