Galileo Search is partnering with a nationally recognized healthcare system to recruit a visionary Director of Quality & Risk for a leading acute care hospital in West Virginia. Location:
Opportunity:
• Reports directly to the Chief Nursing Officer and collaborates with senior leadership
• Directs and evaluates Quality/Performance Improvement, Risk Management, and Medical Staff Office functions
• Serves as Patient Safety Officer and Ethics & Compliance Officer
• Oversees regulatory compliance and accreditation programs (CMS, Joint Commission, state)
• Implements strategies to improve patient care outcomes and reduce hospital-acquired conditions
• Coordinates CMS/TJC Core Measures activities and fosters a culture of safety and transparency
• Leads investigations on compliance issues and ensures adherence to federal healthcare program requirements
• Mentors staff and promotes continuous improvement aligned with organizational goals
Qualifications:
• Current RN license and Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred
• Minimum 5 years of RN acute care experience; prior leadership in quality or risk management preferred
• Basic Life Support certification required
• CPHRM and CPPS certifications to be obtained within two years of employment
• Strong knowledge of regulatory standards and accreditation processes
• Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills
