Galileo Search is partnering with a well-established, mission-driven health system in California to identify a Quality and Risk Manager for one of its cornerstone acute care hospitals.

Opportunity:
• Drives continuous readiness for Joint Commission, CMS, and California Department of Health Services inspections, ensuring full compliance across all licensed services
• Oversees the facility’s Medical Staff Peer Review process, managing documentation, follow-up, and cross-functional coordination with precision
• Partners with senior leadership and department heads to design and implement quality and patient safety initiatives aligned with organizational priorities
• Interprets incident reports, risk indicators, and safety data to uncover trends, mitigate liabilities, and guide proactive interventions
• Delivers targeted education and consultative support to staff on regulatory standards, performance improvement strategies, and risk management best practices
• Contributes to the development and refinement of policies and procedures that uphold patient safety and regulatory excellence
• Acts as a liaison across departments to foster transparency, shared accountability, and a culture of continuous improvement
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree required
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar healthcare quality, risk, or accreditation management role
• Certification in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) or Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) preferred
• Strong understanding of Joint Commission, CMS, and CA regulatory requirements
• Demonstrated ability to interpret data and drive improvement through collaboration and effective problem-solving
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
