Interim Clinical Quality Coordinator - Stroke | Healthcare System | Midwest
Location:
Opportunity:
• Reports to the Manager of Quality, Safety & Risk
• Responsible for staff development regarding the care of the Stroke patient and the development of related materials
• Participates in the collection and monitoring of data for quality improvement of patient care
• Reports quality and outcome measures to medical staff and nursing committees and develops and implements improvement strategies
• Conducts Stroke Program meetings for the evaluation of outcomes, policy and protocol development, and review of current best practices
• Consults with the healthcare team and patients during hospitalization
• Develops and collaborates on patient teaching materials and educational programs for nurses, clinical staff, physicians, and EMS aimed at Stroke Awareness and Intervention
• Acts as a liaison to the community by providing and organizing education and awareness of signs and symptoms of stroke, current medical treatments, risk factors, preventions, and rehabilitation services
Qualifications:
• Bachelor degree preferred
• RN required
• CPHQ (Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality) preferred
• Stroke Program Coordinator Certification preferred
• 3+ years of acute care healthcare system clinical experience
• Familiarity with EPIC preferred
• Proficient in computer skills using EXCEL, PowerPoint, clinical systems and registry databases
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of hospital staff
• Available to travel to the client site and work a full-time schedule, M - F, or as needed
