Regional Director - Quality Management | Hospital System | Texas
Location:
Opportunity:
• Collaborates with the Chief Medical Officer and System Leadership on quality management initiatives
• Ensures the delivery of patient care within the framework of evidence-based practice across the health system continuum and comprehends existing and emerging requirements in healthcare quality, safety, service/experience, and operational improvements
• Provides expertise in quality management for inpatient and hospital outpatient department delivery settings
• Conducts research and recommends annual quality management objectives
• Directs the daily activities of the Quality Management Department and its staff for the region, covering quality, infection prevention, regulatory, risk management, and patient safety
• Develops methodologies for measurement, conducts audits, and generates data reports to assess the achievement of quality objectives across the hospital, region, and system
• Oversees and coordinates the process of regulatory accreditation, preparing and monitoring staff for a constant state of readiness compliance with standards, and fosters a culture of safety
• Collaborates with system leaders, facility leaders, physicians, and front-line teams to develop the strategic direction for delivering high-quality patient care
• Responsible for designing, implementing, tracking, and reporting clinical quality of care and patient safety efforts in alignment with corporate strategies for performance improvement
• Offers leadership and expertise for integrating multidisciplinary activities into quality management processes, using national benchmarks, internal goals, and local targets
• Promotes patient quality of care and safety in a team environment
• Oversees continual compliance readiness with regional leadership in providing Joint Commission and other accrediting or licensing body reviews and education
• Facilitates the Quality Council, Infection Control Council, and the Patient Safety Council
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Health Care Administration, or a relevant clinical discipline; Master’s degree highly preferred
• Current Certified Professional in Health Care Quality (CPHQ) designation or actively seeking certification
• 5+ years of experience in a strategic quality position in a complex healthcare environment
• Multi-site hospital experience a plus
• Excellent communication skills, ability to write reports, business correspondence, and policy and procedure manuals, and effectively present information to Associates, Executive Leadership, Committees, and the Board
• Proficiency in utilizing Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, EMR systems/databases, and navigating the Internet
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of hospital staff through C-Suite
