Shape the next chapter of quality at a regional flagship
Reporting directly to an engaged and collaborative System Chief Quality Officer, this Director will partner with executives, physicians, and operational leaders to translate strategic priorities into measurable results.

Phoebe Putney is looking for someone who can strengthen Quality and Performance Improvement infrastructure, advance a culture of continuous readiness, mentor and elevate a growing Infection Prevention team, and create the data-driven foundation necessary to support high reliability and sustained organizational success.
The Leadership Mandate
Four priorities define the opportunity
Build quality and PI discipline
Strengthen QAPI methodology, standardization, coaching, and accountability so clinical teams can turn data into action.
Advance regulatory readiness
Lead accreditation and regulatory preparedness under the DNV model while building year-round operational ownership.
Develop infection prevention
Mentor the IP Manager and growing team while strengthening surveillance, prevention, education, and response.
Enhance Quality's visibility
Serve as a visible leader who bridges departments, strengthens engagement, and advances governance, reporting, and accountability.

A broad portfolio with meaningful organizational reach
The position leads quality improvement, accreditation and regulatory readiness, and infection prevention for Phoebe Putney Health System's flagship medical center, with close partnership across the broader health system.
Candidate Profile
Credibility, steadiness and the ability to strengthen and influence quality infrastructure
This high-visibility role calls for more than technical knowledge. The strongest candidates will combine acute-care quality experience with a calm, confident leadership presence, a coaching mindset, and the relationship and communication skills needed to move Quality and Performance Improvement forward across a complex hospital.
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
- Three or more years of quality improvement or project management experience
- Clinical acute-care background with relevant quality leadership experience
- Ability to work onsite and relocate to Albany, Georgia
Highly valued experience
- Master's degree in a relevant field
- CPHQ certification; RN background strongly preferred
- DNV, ISO, Joint Commission, or comparable accreditation readiness
- Team development, coaching, physician partnership, operational redesign, data analytics, and change leadership
