Galileo Search is seeking a dynamic and experienced Perioperative Nurse Manager to lead and oversee perioperative services in an acute care hospital. This confidential search is for a strategic nursing leader who will manage the Operating Room, Central Sterile Reprocessing (CSR), Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), Outpatient Surgery, and Pre-Admission Testing departments.
The ideal candidate brings proven expertise in overseeing perioperative services' clinical, operational, and financial aspects. This includes hands-on leadership in staff supervision, budget management, quality improvement efforts, and regulatory compliance. Opportunity:
• 100-bed acute care facility with 5 ORs
• Leadership for daily operations across OR, CSR, PACU, Outpatient Surgery, and Pre-Admission Testing
• Recruit, hire, train, and evaluate nursing staff; ensure appropriate staffing levels and promote retention
• Develop and monitor operating and capital budgets; manage inventory and equipment selection
• Lead quality improvement initiatives; ensure adherence to Joint Commission standards and hospital policies
• Provide direct and indirect nursing care across all age groups, from infants to geriatrics
• Participate in hospital-wide committees and contribute to strategic planning
Qualifications:
• Active RN license required
• ACLS/BCLS
• BSN preferred
• Minimum 3 years of hospital nursing experience in a perioperative setting
• Strong leadership and team-building abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in budgeting and data analysis
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-stress environment
• Commitment to patient safety and staff development
