Opportunity:
• Oversees daily operations and provides leadership for all employees within the hospital’s high-volume Retail Pharmacy
• Ensures the department operates within budget, providing necessary tools and resources for peak operational performance
• Participates in Performance Improvement (PI) activities and other quality initiatives to ensure/enhance patient outcomes
• Assists with enforcing policies and procedures
• Works closely with hospital administration, medical staff, and other departments to ensure smooth pharmacy operations
• Maintains the highest standards of customer service and patient care
• Mentors and supports pharmacy staff, promoting professional development
• Holds self and others accountable for adhering to and completing compliance activities
Qualifications:
• PharmD degree required
• Alabama Pharmacist licensure and Controlled Substance certification
• Previous experience in a leadership role within a retail or hospital pharmacy
• Experience performing operational assessments and making recommendations for improvement
• Proven leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
