A candidate with reliable longevity, who over the last 14 years with her present employer, held the position of Performance Improvement Manager and spent the last 7 years as an Infection Preventionist. She was the senior member of a four-person team that reported to the Director of Infection prevention at a 700+ bed acute care hospital. She is proficient in Infection Control surveillance systems including MIDAS +, Meditech, Theradoc, and NHSN.

She has extensive experience with surveillance methods to track and analyze infection rates, HAIs, and clusters. She is skilled with project management and excellent skills in automated databases, spreadsheets and essential statistical evaluation. • Reviewed cases for NHSN reporting for SSI, CLABSI, CAUTI, VAE, and MDRO & CDI LabID events
• Managed daily isolation population; improved accuracy of reports and reduced unnecessary isolations
• Reviewed and acted on pertinent culture results
• Planned, implemented and evaluated infection prevention measures; improved MRSA screening to maintain >90% goal

Performance Improvement:

• The abstraction of data for TJC/CMS Core Measures Surgical Care Improvement Project (SCIP) with greater than 95% accuracy
• Coordinated SCIP performance improvement activities; led the team to achieve approximately 99% compliance
• Responsible for all activities related to physician peer review for surgical, anesthesia, radiology, & psychiatric departments, including data collection and management, analysis and reporting
• Physician profiling for reappointment
