• Accountable for coordination and oversight of all Medical Staff Office responsibilities and functions
• Leads staff to accomplish processing of credentialing and privileging responsibilities from beginning to completion ensuring compliance with applicable hospital and regulatory requirements. Provides comprehensive assessment of departmental policies and proceedures
• Responsible for managerial, supervisory and operational aspects of the Medical Staff Services Department including evaluation of productivity, performance, staffing, budget, communication and planning needs
• Plans, organizes and coordinates Medical Staff Meetings (Committee, Section, Department, and Medical Executive Committee) through agenda development, maintenance of a complete and accurate record of discussions, attendance and actions. Completed required and requested meeting follow-up tasks. Reports appropriate information to and from meetings of the Medical Executive Committee and the Hospital Board
• Actively involved with The Joint Commission Accreditation Survey ongoing readiness for the Medical Staff and Leadership functions
• Participated in five Joint Commission surveys resulting in no deficiencies in Medical Staff compliance measures
• Monitored provider performance continuously (Ongoing Professional Practice Evaluation) by developing and implementing policies that include the use of peer review data and processes. Monitored focused provider performance reporting deviations to appropriate Medical Staff Leadership
• Superior organizational skills and able to effectively multitask. Able to plan, prioritize and complete projects from beginning to end. Aggressive self-starter and able to work independently
