Opportunity:

• Will report to the Market CMO
• Immediate need for an experienced Interim VP of Quality, Patient Safety, and Regulatory with an opportunity for temp-to-perm
• The health system includes acute care facilities (2,000+ beds), CAH, In-patient rehab, Behavioral Health, Orthopedics and an Ambulatory network
• Lead and manage a team of 8 FTEs overseeing quality of care, patient safety, infection prevention, and regulatory compliance across both hospital and ambulatory care settings
• Develop and implement a comprehensive quality and patient safety program aligned with the organization's strategic goals
• Spearhead system-wide initiatives to improve clinical outcomes, reduce medical errors, and enhance patient experience across both hospital and ambulatory care environments
• Establish and monitor key performance indicators for quality and safety across all facilities
• Direct the development and implementation of infection prevention practices, working with clinical leaders to reduce healthcare-associated infections in both hospital and ambulatory care
• Ensure adherence to all relevant regulatory and accreditation standards, including CMS, Joint Commission, and NCQA
• Direct preparation for regulatory surveys and accreditation visits
• Provide visionary leadership to improve quality, safety, and patient outcomes across all care settings
• Foster a culture of safety, continuous improvement, and evidence-based practices throughout the organization
• Oversee the collection, analysis, and reporting of quality and safety data to drive performance improvement and ensure compliance
• Utilize data analytics to identify opportunities for improvement and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions

Qualifications:

• RN, MSN, PharmD, or PhD in a healthcare-related field
• CPHQ certification highly preferred
• 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in quality, patient safety, and regulatory compliance within a large healthcare system, including both hospital and ambulatory care settings
• Expertise in quality improvement methodologies, patient safety principles, and regulatory requirements
• Strong understanding of healthcare operations, clinical processes, and evidence-based practices
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
• Proven ability to lead and influence multidisciplinary teams in a complex healthcare environment
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of hospital staff
• Available to travel to the client site and work a full-time schedule, M - F, or as needed
