Database Program Manager - MD-Staff | Onsite Required | Openings in TX, NM and LA | Health System

Location:

Texas, New Mexico or Louisiana

Opportunity:

• Reports to the Director of MD-Staff Database
• Develop and maintain the MD Staff database, ensuring accurate and complete records of all medical personnel
• Implement key improvement projects to enhance database functionality and data integrity
• Serve as a functional and technical resource for the credentialing database, providing expert guidance to users.
• Act as a system expert, troubleshooting issues and optimizing database performance
• Collaborate closely with medical staff offices and legal departments to streamline data management processes and ensure data consistency
• Ensure strict adherence to MD Staff data management policies and procedures, maintaining comprehensive compliance across all organizational standards and regulatory requirements
• Train staff on database use and best practices for data entry and retrieval
• Generate reports and analytics on MD Staff demographics, credentials, and other relevant metrics
• Proactively monitor database performance, conducting regular integrity assessments and rapidly resolving any accessibility or data quality issues to maintain optimal system functionality
• Stay informed about industry trends and advancements in MD Staff database management technologies to ensure the system remains up-to-date and efficient

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Healthcare Administration, or a related healthcare field is required
• Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in database management, with a strong preference for experience in healthcare or medical environments
• Expertise in MD Staff credentialing software
• MD-Staff certification preferred
• Demonstrated experience leading and managing cross-functional teams to enhance operational processes
• Deep understanding of database architecture, data governance, and data security best practices
• Exceptional communication skills, including written, verbal, and listening abilities
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
