Assistant Vice President (AVP) | Quality Management | Healthcare System | Texas
Location:
Opportunity:
• Develops a vision and executable plan to attain world-class quality processes and procedures across the hospitals and outpatient departments
• Works collaboratively with System Quality and clinical leaders as a resource and advisor, proactively analyzing and seeking out opportunities to improve operational, clinical, quality, and patient satisfaction outcomes
•Drives strategic vision and direction for quality and performance improvement across the system
• Collaborates with leadership to develop the strategic direction and system-wide planning for the delivery of high-quality patient care across the continuum of healthcare services
•Ensures successful development and deployment of the organization's Quality strategy to all care sites and services lines
•Develops and implements plans to standardize clinical processes and procedures among hospitals through nationally recognized evidence-based standards of care
• Evaluates clinical and administrative processes to determine best practices across the system and establishes a mechanism for organizational sharing of these practices
• Provides mentorship and staff development to the Quality leaders for standardized best practices in quality management
• Acts as a resource for the system with various accreditation or regulatory bodies
• Maintains strong positive relationships with team members, medical staff, senior leaders, and patients
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Quality, Business, Public Health, or a related field required; Master’s preferred
• Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ)
• Seven to ten years of progressive clinical and/or quality leadership experience, with a minimum of five current years in management
• Previous experience with proven leadership in regulatory and accreditation survey readiness, quality improvement and patient safety in an acute care system or facility required, including demonstrated ability in interpreting quality metrics to lead actionable change
• Knowledge of national standards as well as national benchmarks to include all elements of national quality initiatives (e.g., NHSN, TJC, CMS)
• Working knowledge of quality management and performance improvement principles, practices and techniques
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and work with all levels of healthcare providers, including physicians
• Highly proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Working knowledge of data collection methodologies, interpretation/analysis and decision support databases
• Excellent communication, presentation and organization skills
