• Oversees the daily operations of the Physician billing group
• Investigates and resolve all outstanding patients and/or insurance account balances, providing training as needed and reporting on quality assurance
• Monitors and resolves outstanding accounts receivable balances in a timely manner while meeting quality assurance goals and tracks compliance with payer contracts
• Employs effective collection techniques, maximizing efficiency and cash collections, utilizing online claim status and processing methods if available
• Reports all billing, registration, posting, and other errors/issues resulting in payment delay to leadership
• Performs rejection resolution through appeals, obtaining and sending needed information/documentation, re-bills, adjustments, and/or corrections

• Bachelor's Degree preferred or Technical Certification
• 3 years of management experience
• 5 years previous background of working in a healthcare-related field, with knowledge of third-party payers and healthcare insurance companies to resolve payment complications
• Knowledge of collections from patients and/or third-party payors
• Demonstrates superior prioritization, organizational, and time management skills
• Ability to maintain a professional and customer-centric composure in challenging situations
• Knowledge of HIPAA standards and regulations
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of hospital staff
• Available to travel to the client site and work full-time Monday - Friday or as needed
