Assistant Director, Central Business Office (CBO) | Hospital System | Alabama

Opportunity:
• Oversee a staff of 104 employees
• Monitor AR indicators to ensure AR focus is aligned with meeting the CBO financial performance goals of the organization
• Reviews performance in each CBO area and provides support and recommendations to the Director and Managers to assist them in achieving the goals
• Ensure staff assignments, duties and training are appropriate
• Review policies and processes in each area and work with the CBO Managers and Assistant Managers to make processes more efficient and effective
• Assists in providing oversight of special projects to ensure that the project team is comprised of appropriate CBO employees, and tasks are completed by each CBO member for a successful outcome
• Oversight of the Vendor Coordinator position as well as oversight of vendor relationships and vendor performance
Qualifications:
• Undergraduate degree or other healthcare related field. (or 10+ years healthcare department specific work experience)
• Minimum of 10 years experience in Revenue Cycle and hospital collections
• Current managerial experience
• Governmental payer regulatory billing requirements
• Capacity to complete work within rigid time constraints with the ability to multi-task
• Outstanding communication skills, diplomacy, good listening capability, strong analytical and problem-solving ability
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of hospital staff
