Texas

• Self-starter, highly competent, flexible, and detailed oriented
• Provide support and virtual training remotely, must reside in Texas or within reasonable driving distance
• Approximately 70% of the work is being conducted primarily remotely with occasional travel 30%, driving trips
• Contractors will be required to provide and use their own laptop, and cell phone for this assignment –these items are not being provided
• Prepare written reports, conduct basic research, mentor and train

The ICAR Assessment:

• Provides an infection control assessment and helps LTCF with their Infection Control Risk Assessment priorities and planning activities
• Educates employees/staff on infection prevention and antibiotic stewardship activities in LTCF
• Increase the facility’s capacity to detect, report and address healthcare-acquired infections and outbreaks
• Supports preparation for regulatory surveys

• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• RN, MT/MLS, or MPH
• CIC required
• Minimum of 5 through ideally 10+ years of experience in acute care infection prevention
• Computer literacy is essential
• Available to travel to the client site as needed
