• Reports to the System Director of Health Outcomes and Analytics. There are no staff reporting to this position
• Identifies, designs, and implements improvement methodologies that support the health system’s process improvement efforts
• Evaluates the overall system of compliance to the processes that keep CLABSI and CAUTI levels to zero while focusing heavily on the national standards in SIR (NHSN Standardized Infection Ratio) for CLABSI and CAUTI
• Guides local facility teams in the development of an action plan to address improvement opportunities
• Documents the procedures and processes for the systemwide clinical process (written guidelines development) for a standardized approach to mitigation of CLABSI and CAUTI to include reporting, coaching, and mentoring
• Travels and assesses high-risk, high-event hospitals of CLABSI and CAUTI and assesses, mentors, and assists them in sustaining the processes of mitigation
• Drives organizational change by developing corporate and regional high-performance work teams
• Guides local facility teams in the development of an action plan to address improvement opportunities
• Priorities will focus on clinical outcomes, timeliness, operational efficiency, and effectiveness
• Works closely with leaders and staff to identify and ensure best practices are developed and sustained
• Participates and leads in developing metrics, analyzing data, developing programs, recommendations and action plans to drive operational and strategic improvement
• Prepares reports regarding progress, effectiveness, and outcomes of regional and system process improvement initiatives
• Work with the teams to identify critical opportunities for improvement, set priorities, identify root causes, develop actionable implementation plans, and provide guidance to teams on performance and metrics for monitoring the effectiveness of the process improvement efforts
• Develops implementation plans for improvements that integrate with corporate system strategic priorities and serve as a liaison between existing dedicated resources at the hospital level
• Collaborates with medical staff to review materials as necessary and ensure accuracy


• A Master’s degree is required
• RN (Registered Nurse) highly preferred
• 5+ years experience in process improvement, ideally in an acute care healthcare system environment
• Acute care infection prevention/control and mitigating HAIs (Hospital Acquired Infections) experience
• Excellent teaching, presenting, and interpersonal communication skills
• Familiarity with Scientific performance improvement, including Lean, Six Sigma, and Change Leadership
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work collaboratively
• Heavy travel - Available to travel as needed over a three-state region in the Southwestern U.S.
