• 3+ Month Assignment
• 175+ bed, TJC Accredited Hospital, and Clinic
• Reports to VP of Quality
• Within TJC survey window
• Ensures rigorous infection control standards that meet TJC, CMS, California Department of Public Health, FDA, and CDC requirements
• Continually evaluates all patient care and infection prevention procedures and activities within the facility while making recommendations for and taking all necessary steps toward continuous patient care improvements
• Conducts surveillance, analysis, reporting, risk reduction, and outbreak control
• Actively participates in formulating nursing and hospital policies and procedures in the area of infection control
• Educates employees and providers about infection control and contributes to staff training programs in regards to employee orientations and annual competencies

• Bachelor’s degree required
• RN, MT(ASCP), MPH
• CIC required
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Infection Control in an acute care setting
• Knowledge of COVID-19 preparedness and clinical setting protocols desired
• Familiarity with Allscripts and Cerner a plus
• Proven knowledge and experience in the practice of epidemiological principles and infectious disease as they relate to infection control and prevention
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with hospital staff, physicians, patients, and patient's families
• Available to travel to the client-site and work a full-time schedule, M - F, or as needed
