Interim Corporate Compliance Officer | Southeastern U.S.
We have an immediate interim opportunity for an Interim Corporate Compliance Officer with our Hospital client in the southeast U.S.

Opportunity:
• 3+ month assignment
• Reports to the Chief Executive Officer and the Board of Directors
• Primarily responsible for maintenance of the Corporate Compliance Program for the 150-bed, TJC Accredited hospital and related entities
• Develops and reviews programs to ensure the organization’s compliance with regulations related to employment practices and HIPAA
• Monitors OIG annual work plan to ensure Corporate Compliance
• Coordinates and assists with compliance training including new employee orientation and ongoing employee, physician, and board training, and assures that appropriate and current business associate agreements are maintained for all contracts and/or contract providers having business arrangements with the organization
• Serves as the HIPAA Privacy Officer and investigates privacy issues or complaints and the resource person for management, physicians, employees, and subsidiary corporations regarding Corporate Compliance
• Collaborates with Risk Management in developing the annual corporate compliance action plan and addressing risk management goals
• Work collaboratively with operations leaders to provide training and guidance to ensure that compliance and operations staff work together as partners to mitigate risk
• Assist in the development of systems, workflow processes, procedural designs, and organizational policies to ensure compliance with Federal and State healthcare program requirements, laws and regulations
• Serves as a leader of any internal investigative team for fraud and abuse and compliance issues
• This position interacts extensively with hospital personnel
Qualifications:
• CHC, CHPC, CCEP, or CPHRM highly preferred
• Five years of current acute care compliance / risk management leadership experience
• Requires expert knowledge of hospital operations, documentation, HIPAA Privacy and Security, and confidentiality
• Demonstrated credibility and effectiveness in interacting with stakeholders including senior leadership, governing entities, internal customers, and external regulators
• Available to travel to the client site and work a full-time Monday - Friday schedule
