In this high-profile role, the selected candidate will plan, develop and implement new and revised compensation programs, policies and procedures for both exempt and non-exempt positions. Responsibilities will include survey participation and compensation analysis to keep salaries, hourly wages and compensation programs competitive. This role will provide ongoing leadership and delivery of communication in support of change management related to systems and pay practices. Creates and maintains comprehensive documentation of business practices and requirements for use in process improvement and application upgrades and implementations. Designs and implements compensation programs to meet objectives with regards to internal equity and external market competitiveness. Oversees job evaluations and job audits. Serves as a key resource and point-of-contact for complex wage and salary inquiries. Partners with the recruiting team to develop competitive offers for new hires and existing employees. Stays current on external best practices and relevant changes to the compensation field; communicates updates to leadership. Identifies training and educational needs and participates in the training as necessary.


•Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources or a related field
•A minimum of five years of increasing responsibility related to compensation
•Prior experience working for hospital or health system as compensation subject matter expert a plus
•Must demonstrate good judgment, strong business acumen, effective and influential leadership skills
•Knowledge of market compensation data sources and best practices for application and presentation of market data
•Project management, program management, and strong assessment and analytical skills
•PHR, SPHR or SHRM-CP desired
•CCP certification preferred
