Galileo Search is conducting a search for an experienced Open-Heart Nursing Education Specialist. Our client, located in the scenic Northwest, is Magnet recognized and considered among the best workplaces in the country.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:
•200+ bed, Magnet-designated, teaching hospital
•Consult, recommend and facilitate nursing specialty track education for residents, nurse interns or any other program for new specialty nurses
•Participate in the development of standards of practice using the most current evidence
•Implement nursing education processes that enhance knowledge, skills, and attitudes for safe, competent and effective nursing practice
•Evaluate practice to align with professional practice standards, guidelines, statutes, rules, and regulations
•Analyze and validate educational needs and competencies
•Develop and initiate training programs that facilitate the achievement of clinical care nursing competency goals
•Supporting shared governance, accreditation, and other initiatives related to Transition to Practice
•Experience utilizing and participating in evidence-based practice and demonstrating program innovation
•Graduate degree, or current graduate program with a graduation date expected within two years of hire
•If your graduate degree is not in nursing, it must be in a related field and a BSN is required
•National professional board certification for specialty required
•NPD (National Professional Development) certification preferred
•Minimum 3 years current/applicable experience in an acute care setting
•Previous experience in designing, developing, conducting and evaluating training programs for adult learners preferred
