The Infection Prevention Analyst assists the AVP of Quality Management with the improvement of patient safety by initiating, developing, implementing and monitoring new and existing infection prevention initiatives throughout the organization.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
• Facilitates, educates, and acts as a liaison to the departments and services of the hospital regarding the Infection Prevention Program
• Participates in regulatory compliance and accreditation measures to ensure hospital readiness
• Partners with Hospital Administration and staff (strategically and tactically) in system-wide / proactive program initiatives in quality, performance improvement, patient safety, and service excellence
• Department has shared administrative support
• RN (Registered Nurse), MT(ASCP) or MPH
• Current Certification in Infection Control (CIC) preferred, or within two years of hire
• Minimum of two years of experience in infection prevention in acute care hospital, Quality Improvement experience with proven results will be considered
• Familiarity with NHSN, and other state and federal reporting systems
• Collaborates with teams at all facilities and other resources or subcontractors as applicable
• Possesses excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
• Designs impactful evidence-based presentations
• BSN preferred; Non-nurse candidates shall possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in public health, or other healthcare and or public health-related field
