Opportunity:

Galileo is conducting a search for an experienced Director of Perioperative Services. This high-profile position is accountable to assist the VP of Surgical and Procedural Services in achieving excellence in practice and in creating improvements in patient care delivery, utilizing system thinking. The position promotes an interdisciplinary model of shared decision making through the mentor-ship of nurse leaders, resulting in a positive work environment, staff retention, and a culture where decisions are made closest to the patient and family.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain patient safety and quality as top priority in design of clinical systems, processes, policies and procedures
• Ensure that nursing is represented in planning, design, selection and implementation of information systems
• Fiscal Accountability, Resource Allocation, and Strategic Management
• Drive operational excellence in patient care delivery, resulting in improved service and quality to our patients

Qualifications:

• BSN required; MSN preferred
• Active RN required
• ANCC Certification preferred
• 5-7 years of progressive experience in Nursing Leadership and Administration required
