Galileo is conducting a national search for an experienced Director of Quality & Patient Safety. This high-profile position has oversight for Quality, Regulatory, Infection Prevention & Control, and Compliance functions to include Joint Commission, OSHA, Process Improvement, Service Excellence, and Safety. Opportunity:

Responsibilities will include: Collaborating with the hospital and physician leaders to envision, develop, and implement the organization’s quality improvement and safety initiatives; Leading and coordinating key strategic development and functional services to support department objectives and organizational goals; Managing departmental finances and business goals to include budgeting; Maintaining effective and responsive relationships with patients, attending medical staff, and other departments; Overseeing the above departmental committees and directing the surveillance of targeted patient populations in accordance with each operating unit’s risk assessment plan; Partnering with others on key system / enterprise wide initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 - 5 years of relevant acute care hospital experience in quality, patient safety, regulatory, accreditation, and performance improvement
• Bachelor’s Degree required with Master’s preferred
• CPHQ highly preferred
• Knowledgeable and experienced with Lean, Six Sigma, PDCA and/or other performance improvement methods, with a record of successful improvement projects and Apparent Cause Analysis (RCA/ACA) methodologies
• Proven record of leadership, project management, and collaboration experience
