PLEASE NOTE: We are not seeking I.T. centric program/project implementation experience/backgrounds. Emphasis is placed on those individuals with Business Strategy programs/projects. Ideal candidates will have current experience working for a 1st, 2nd, or 3rd tier business strategy consulting firm and with their proven methodologies (i.e. Bain & Company, The Boston Consulting Group, McKinsey & Company, Deloitte & Touche LLP, Accenture, KPMG, Booz Allen Hamilton, PwC, A.T. Kearney).

Galileo Search is representing an outstanding Senior Enterprise PMO Program Manager career opportunity. This is the perfect position for an experienced individual who is looking to apply their skills in program / project management, change management, and process improvement. The position will be responsible for facilitating large, complex, cross-functional initiatives comprised of multiple matrixed project teams. Collaborate directly with customers and colleagues, ensuring that actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience.

Opportunity:

The Senior Program Manager will report to the VP of Enterprise Program Management. Responsibilities will include successfully leading strategic initiatives and projects with a primary focus on cross-business unit or cross-functional programs based upon business priority. The position will also be responsible for building competencies, achieving significant financial, operational, customer satisfaction, and employee satisfaction goals. The position will directly manage multiple programs as needed, including: strategic planning, complex program plan development, coordination of program team deliverables, facilitating program/project governance, managing issues, mitigating risk, status reporting, tracking KPIs, and executing program/project tasks. When required, the position will also lead dotted line staff and project team members who may be equal or senior in rank.

KEY COMPETENCIES:
•Program / Project Management experience, ideally in the insurance or financial services industries preferred but not required, to include ePMO (Strategy-Goals-Objectives, Finance, Marketing, HR, Process-Tools-Standardization, Management Reporting, Risk Management)
•From inception to implementation, experience in creating, structuring, and driving new enterprise programs, providing project management consultation and training, and serving as the centralized source for owning and disseminating key program management processes and methodologies
•Flexibility to work on, and experience in, Business, Change, and Technology Process Programs, not just I.T.
•Proven success in communicating and interacting with senior executives. Demonstrated ability to effectively establish and maintain strategic working relationships with peers, constituents, vendors, and stakeholders at all levels
•Creative problem-solving ability
•Proven experience driving activity and execution with a focus on results
•Experience identifying and improving processes (PI)
•Working knowledge of project management tools, methodologies, and frameworks (will bring these proven tools & methodologies to the job)
•Performing as a thought leader / subject matter expert across the organization on program and project management matters. Promotes cross-business unit collaboration and knowledge sharing
•Direct experience managing substantial end-to-end Business Process Program Management initiatives from being presented the initial problem to resolve, through strategy, deployment, tracking, and successful completion

Qualifications:

•BA/BS required
•Master’s Degree preferred but not required
•3 years of business related experience in financial services or insurance industry desired
•5 years of project management ideally in a PMO / ePMO environment
•Demonstrated experience in initiating, managing, and implementing complex business transformation projects/programs
•Strong leadership skills and ability to work within a matrixed organization
•Proven organizational, analytical, and problem solving skills with the demonstrated ability to think about business problems in innovative, new ways and the ability to clarify key issues in complex situations
•Operational, risk, and change management skills and experience
•Ability to define and manage expectations while leading multiple concurrent projects/programs
•Big 4 or second tier business strategy firm experience desired
•Solid budget and finance experience / knowledge
•Proven experience in "business strategy" Program/Project Management, Business Analysis, Change Management, PI, and related communications
•Strong facilitation, conflict resolution, negotiating, and influencing skills - a people centric approach is essential (this is a people first versus process focused environment
•PMP certification or equivalent experience preferred but not required
