KEY COMPETENCIES:
• 5 - 10 years of related Program / Project Management experience, ideally in financial services industry, to include an EPMO (Finance, Marketing, HR, IT)
• Flexibility to work on Business, Change and Technology Process Programs
• Experience developing, defining and deploying Business Centric Programs versus primarily I.T.
• Proven success in communicating and interacting with senior executives. Demonstrated ability to effectively establish and maintain strategic working relationships with peers, constituents, vendors, and stakeholders at all levels
• Creative problem-solving ability
• Curriculum development
• Proven experience driving activity and execution with a focus on results
• Experience identifying and improving processes (PI)
• Working knowledge of typical project management tools, methodologies and frameworks
• Performing as a thought leader across the organization on program and project management matters. Promotes cross-business unit collaboration and knowledge sharing
• Direct experience managing at least 2 substantial end-to-end Business Process Program Management initiatives

Opportunity:

Senior Program Manager reports to the VP of Enterprise Program Management and will successfully lead strategic initiatives and projects with a primary focus on cross-business unit or cross-functional programs based upon business priority. The position will also be responsible for building competencies, achieving significant financial, operational, customer satisfaction, and employee satisfaction goals. The position will directly manage multiple programs as needed, including: strategic planning, complex program plan development, coordination of program team deliverables, facilitating program/project governance, managing issues, mitigating risks, status reporting, tracking KPIs, and executing program/project tasks. When required, the position will also lead dotted line staff and project team members who may be equal or senior in rank.

Qualifications:

• BA/BS required
• Master’s Degree preferred
• Financial services or insurance industry experience highly preferred
• Demonstrated capability in successfully managing large, multi-phase / multi-year programs
• Big 4 or second tier experience a plus
• Solid budget and finance experience / knowledge
• Proven experience in “business” versus only I.T. centric Program / Project Management, Business Analysis, Change Management, PI and related Communications
• PgMP or PMP or Six Sigma a plus
